Under new management from Spring 2025. Previously owned by John Smith’s then Ward’s breweries, the Butcher's Arms is now a genuine free house owned by the licensees. This traditional local was built in 1905 and retains two drinking rooms and a pool room. The tap room hosts a dart board and TV screens whilst in the lounge old pictures of Braithwell adorn the walls, many depict the annual wheelbarrow race still held in Braithwell. Quiz night is Thursday.
A function room seats up to 50 and hogs are roasted occasionally in the large beer garden during the summer months. Real ale not available since early 2024, although this is now being considered by the new owners.
