Built in 1661, this is a traditional, locals' pub where conversation dominates and dogs are welcome - but mind your head as the ceiling and beams are very low! The small bar serves 2 or 3 ales, normally from Sharp's Brewery; one real cider is available that is stored in the cool room to the rear. From the rear corridor is a room containing a pool table and dart board. Food choice is limited but of good quality and value, including Sunday roast.
