This Pub is Closed Long Term

Before closure, this was a prominent suburban roadhouse with several drinking areas and a mixed clientele. Upstairs there was a function room for hire.

Plans to convert the former Fox and Hounds into residential accommodation have been approved on appeal, after the planning inspectorate overturned Bedford Borough Council’s refusal. Councillors were told at the planning committee meeting on 13 October 2025 that the appeal had been allowed, clearing the way for the redevelopment of the site at 178 Goldington Road.
