You always hurt the one you love

The prime minister, Sir Keir Starmer, told the Daily Mirror he supported their campaign to save the country’s pubs as he recognised they were at the heart of communities. He still finds time to go for a pint in his local, the Pineapple, in Kentish Town, North London. It’s worth a visit: as well as some impressive old Bass mirrors – but sadly no Draught Bass on the bar – the pub is a fine example of one that has been saved for the local community.
