Comfortable inn dating from the 1770s. Real fire and wood panelling help retain some of the pub's original character. A patio garden offers extra seating, some under cover. Easy walk from the town centre and popular before and after matches at the nearby Bedford Blues rugby ground. Live music on many weekends. Large screens temporarily brought in to show the Six Nations rugby tournament and other major international sporting events. Closes at 10pm Mon.-Thurs. in winter. Check Facebook for hours, music and sporting events showings.

Historic Interest

Licensed premises since the 1770s. Internal wood panelling helps retain some of the original character.
