This Pub is Closed Long Term
Closed 3 April 2016 , with the tenant claiming that the building is too expensive to maintain. Planning application to convert to flats approved 2nd March 2021
Reopened on 30th Oct 2015, and owned by the same people as the Small Bar on King Street. Up to five hand pulls, nine kegs and four ciders - all of which change constantly.
Just like the Small Bar, no pints are available but any beer can be purchased in third, half or two thirds measures. In January 2016, the pub proclaimed itself 'Bristol's only vegetarian and vegan pub', which applies to both food and drinks.
Located just off Dowry Square at the bottom of Hope Chapel Hill, this is a wood-panelled one-room pub, but with quirky nooks and partitions creating a rather intimate space. The Hope Arts Centre is just up the hill. Watch out for the various hidden steps around the pub. Parking close by us likely to be tricky.
This Pub serves 5 changing beers and 0 regular beers.
