This Pub is Closed Long Term

This small wood-panelled Grade II-listed pub in a Georgian street, licensed since 1851, serves a range of changing cask beers from local breweries. West Country ciders are also available, as well as local and international keg beers, and an impressive choice of European bottled beers. The pub hosts regular live music, a quiz every Wednesday, a "pub raffle" on a Friday, and has a selection of board games. There is a small outside area at the side of the pub for smokers. The Friends of the Green Man, a local community group, has been formed to protect the pub. Following the closure of the pub after the previous lease ended (Dawkins), the building owners (Wellington) and management company (Criterion) are currently considering the building’s future. They are applying to have the pub listed as an Asset of Community Value (ACV). The group have launched an online petition and social media campaign (via accounts like Instagram).
