This pub was known as the Royal Standard and closed in 2005 when it became the Royal Spice Indian Restaurant, since then it has traded under various names such as Cinnamon Spice and Mumbai Gate before reverting to being a pub on 21 September 2019.

The pub boasts a large garden and restaurant area, the early opening at weekends is for food only.
