From The Ham & High - "The Harringay Arms, in Crouch Hill, closed in January 2024 but it will now reopen as The Wooden Cross." We can confirm its reopening. Owned by an operstor who also owns the Prince of Wales, Highgate, apparently. It is boasting smart wood panelling, delicious-looking margs and nosh from the North & Ten bagel company.

The pub is operated by a company called TwentySix who run 4 pubs in total - from their website, "Twenty6 is an independent pub group based in North London."

"Hornsey Historical Society member David Winskill said: "It's a tiny little pub, one of the last remaining boozers in Crouch End. All of a sudden it's had a makeover and is now called the Wooden Cross."

01/11/24 - The Harringay Arms in Crouch End reopened after a closure in Aug 2024. Apparently it was run by the same people as the Queens Arms in Winchmore Hill. But that did not last for long.

They had a set of dice on the bar and said if you roll both dice and get six in total, the beer is on the house.

Closed July 2017, reopened 08/12/17, as one of Enterprise's managed expert partnerships. The following was written before the change -

Small community pub with a friendly welcome, opened in 1877. Small from the outside, cosy on the inside. One wall features historical maps of Crouch End, another has old photos of Irish authors, playwrights and poets. Two televisions offer Sky sports to a discerning audience without dominating the pub. in contrast to the modern trend, the pub still has its dartboard; if you would rather stay seated chess boards are available on request. There is a small outdoor area for smokers at the back of the pub. Like many N8 pubs it hosts a quiz night, the Harringay's offering takes place on Tuesdays.
