This Pub is Closed Long Term
In September 2019, it was announced that a community group were looking to buy the building which has been derelict for 6 years and reopen it as a pub.
In 23/11/2020 Pailton Parish Council purchased the freehold of the pub.
The hope is to re-open the pub along with community facilities and possibly a shop.
In November 2023 an application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund was submitted for funding towards the delivery stage of the project and £2 million was secured in May. The community hub will have a pub, restaurant, café, shop, post office, accommodation, enterprise units, co-working space and landscaped gardens.
It's hoped to open the shop in early 2025, and the pub by the end of the year.
