Reopened January 2017 as an Irish themed pub after long period of closure. Refurbished in August 2014 and smartly decorated and comfortably furnished. The pub operates a "no trainers" policy when security staff are present, Real Ale not seen for some time. Two unused handpumps.
Historic Interest
Grade II listing:- C17 or earlier timber framed building with long back range at right angles. 2-storey, 2-window early C20 front has 1st floor roughcast, with mock timbering, and brick ground floor. Tiled roof with 2 modern gables. On 1st floor small-paned casements. On ground floor 2 canted bays with large, fancy stained glass windows. On right return some visible timber framing but most concealed beneath brick or roughcast skin.
