Open plan, spacious bar accessed off circular balcony at Centre’s first floor level, opened July in premises formerly ‘Babe Ruth’s’ restaurant. The main bar area has pale green, white and yellow décor, large windows overlooking Finchley Road, fussy carpet, tiled around bar, polished dark brown bar with yellow ‘portholes’ and clock to match. Lighting is hidden by wooden slats hanging from ceiling. Abstract paintings and local history panels featuring famous residents including Sigmund Freud. Unusually for Wetherspoons, there are two ‘family areas’, one a raised no smoking area to side of main bar, the other to the left of the entrance which also has high chairs available. Closed May/June 2014 - Wetherspoons citing uneconomic rents.
