Large bar with regular music and comedy gigs downstairs. The building used to be used to store costumes for the West Yorkshire Playhouse hence the name. High tables and stools in the main drinking area and stools at the end of the bar. Raised area at each side with many tables and chairs and with high stools providing views through the large windows. The cask beer offering is from Kirkstall Brewery. Quiz on Tuesdays. May close earlier than advertised on quiet nights.

The main entrance has four steps. A step-free entrance is available from the entrance to the events room but this is closed except when events are on though can be opened upon asking bar staff. Most of the pub is on a single level with two smaller areas accessed by a couple of steps. Accessible toilet with sufficient space for wheelchair users to access it from the step-free entrance.
