This Pub is Permanently Closed

A former Boddington's house and an 11 times GBG entry, the Victoria closed in 2008 and was demolished to make way for new housing.

The main picture (by Stuart Dawson) shows the pub (probably late 1970's) proudly proclaiming it's origins. The pub appears in the foreground of the monochrome picture (Preston Digital Archive) although apart from a hanging sign over the door, the pub appears a bit anonymous.
