A former Blatch's of Theale pub called The White House, this pub was extensively refurbished in 2014 with the addition of not only a conservatory but also the introduction of food including excellent Sunday roasts (booking advisable) and real ale. This pub was the winner of Reading Chronicle's Pub of the Year Award in 2022. Buses stop right outside or just around the corner of the adjacent road junction.
