Historic Interest

Delicensed on 01/05/12 landlady was Sarah Coleman and owner Punch Taverns. The pub was included in the 1980 selective Greater Manchester Beer Guide. In May 1981 it was a Greenall Whitley pub selling Mild and Bitter (E). In January 1983 landlord Bert Wright was retiring and selling off his collection of Pub Watercolour paintings by RE Cooper at £20 each. The pub was bought by Greenwood Leisure and cask beer was back on the bar but it didn't last that long before it disappeared.
