Nov 2024 has now opened under a new name - our reporter comments, "It looks very much like a restaurant but the beer list is extensive on draught as well as cans and bottles. Can't see it being cheap if some of the beer has to be brought from Latvia." We do not know if you can order just beer or if you have to be having a meal.
From their website, "Welcome to our Latvian-inspired concept, born in the heart of Riga and brought to life in London, where the rich culture and vibrant flavours of Latvia come together in a one-of-akind experience."
30/10/24 - The below story is over a year old. However, 2mb Management Limited have now applied to Islington Council to take over the license.
"Really exciting new entry to the UK F&B market... CDG Leisure acted on behalf of Latvian sensation Two More Beers in the acquisition of their first location in London on the site of the former Radicals & Victuallers on Upper Street in Islington, boasting a proud 6,000 sqft premises with a large alfresco garden area. As the name suggests, Two More Beers is a beer and food concept with over 100 craft beers on the menu and talented chefs serving up a selection of unique menu items to complement their drinks offering."

As an M&B operated pub, we were unsure if it was a change of manager or a permanent closure. Their website shows the plain message of closure and as one would think that this is an M&B site, then the message seems blunt - closed!
This describes it as it had been -
Previously an O'Neills, re-branded in late 2014. Handy for Islington Design Centre. Food, including breakfasts, from "Ruby Jean's Diner", is presumably of an American style - burgers, wings, ribs etc and is served from opening until 10.00pm. A huge pub, a narrower entrance area leads into a very large space at the back with plenty of seating. There is a side corridor on the outside which has a small seating area and accommodates smokers.
