Traditional pub with a great local support offering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Many facilities including darts. Large grassed garden with covered shelter at the rear of the pub and further seating at the front. Tucked away at the southern end of the High Street, close to the Merstow Green car park, it is believed to be the furthest west pub in the Hook Norton estate. Four beers from the Hook Norton brewery are on offer, with three regular and one selected from the seasonal listings.

The Trumpet ceased serving food in June 2026.

Upon entering the pub there is a small porch area with a door to the right which takes you into the main bar area. This level is flat which continues around to the lady’s toilet. There is a step down to access the area before the men’s toilet and a step back up to the toilets themselves. There is also a step of approx. 150 mm down to the back area of the pub. The pub has stated that a variety of ramps are available if requested by customers. There are no accessible toilets.
