Historic Interest
The Rake Inn, a beer house, dates back to at least 1879, a Gatehouse & Son pub, later a West Cheshire Brewery pub, It appears to have changed name to the Travellers Rest about 1891. The renewal of the licence was refused in 1905 and the pub closed. The original buildings have survived and are now private residences.
