Whilst The Tomich Hotel does not serve cask real ale, we have confirmed reports that keg An Teallach is available. Formerly a hunting lodge for Lord Tweedmouth’s Guisachan Estate, the family-run Highland hotel retains many Victorian features. Situated on the edge of the beautiful Glen Affric National Nature Reserve, close to the spectacular Plodda Falls, this is an ideal base for the outdoor enthusiast. Glen Affric is a walker’s paradise offering a combination of forest tracks and old stalkers paths, and 13 Munros (Scottish mountains over 3.000 feet) on the doorstep for the enthusiastic ‘Munro-Bagger’. This is also a haven for nature lovers who can expect to see golden eagle, peregrine falcon, mountain hare, red deer, red squirrel, and much more; and if you are really lucky you may even spot the extremely rare capercaillie or the elusive wild cat.
