This Pub is Closed Long Term

Big roadside pub of three storeys that has built a good reputation for its food with an appetising menu displayed on a blackboard over the main bar servery. Note the range of jugs on the shelf above the blackboard. The dining area with 60 covers has a cosy feel to it while the bar, in which is found the lunchtime carvery, also accommodates diners, especially for Sunday lunch (booking advised). A loyalty reward club is available for regular diners and take-away food available. There is also a small snug where the real fire is popular on cold days. An array of interesting paintings, the work of a local artist and covering a range of subjects, are dotted around the walls and are available for sale. A small outdoor area is alongside the pub. The owner is a strong supporter of local breweries with usually one and sometimes two guest ales on sale. Bus stop nearby.
