There has been a pub on this site since the 16th century and is the last pub left on the Bath Road. Built 150 years ago, there is some interesting wood paneling.

Historic Interest

Local listing:- Circa 18th century with alterations. Painted brick with parapet and hipped plain tiled roof. Two storeys, four windows wide, outer two slightly projecting with full height canted bays. Single storey canted bay to left of main entrance. Windows all replaced sases with glazing bars. Door under bracketed hood. It is thought that the building may contain an older core, but nothing is visible inside, although there is some imported oak panelling. Known as the “Three Pigeons” in 1765 it is the only survivor of the many inns that once lined the Bath Road.
