Built on the site of the old Franciscan nunnery - hence Minories. On dissolution the parish was granted the full privileges of the nunnery, including marriage without banns or licence and licensing their own publicans. The name Three Lords comes from three Jacobite Lords executed after the '45 rebellion. Now operated by London Brewing. Two bars on two floors: cask beer only on the ground floor. Basement is cosy with a hidden snug in the right corner. Both bars have framed posters but look out for the glass to the right of the bar on the ground floor advertising Upright and Beer Street. There are portraits of four lords in the entrance stairwell and an explanation as to the name of the pub on a board by the entrance door. Food is a simple menu of snacks, salads, burgers and flat breads (due to the size of the kitchen - small).
