Three Greyhounds Inn, Allostock

Three Greyhounds is a rural retreat with a little for everyone. Nestled between Holmes Chapel and Lach Dennis in the village of Allostock, it was originally a farm, dating back some 300 years. Rescued from closure in 2012 the pub has been restored to a glory that celebrates the building and its farming heritage, championing the great food and fine ales produced in the surrounding areas of rural Cheshire. In Spring 2019, it underwent a further ‘make-over’ adding an old timber floor, creating even more warmth to the atmosphere.

The varied menu includes many classic dishes, while on Sundays, prime roast sirloin of beef and roast pork are both served (Allostock has a historical link with piggeries and this too is reflected on their menu). The pub has some great sharing plates including the 'Allostock Farmers' Plate' where you may choose one of the fifteen British farm cheeses. With a welcoming atmosphere, 300 year old beams, Inglenook and Cheshire fire places, brandy barrel cladded walls and warm candlelight all with friendly service to match, the Three Greyhounds is enjoying a splendid renaissance. The guest ales are usually from local breweries such as Cheshire Brewhouse, Merlin or Beartown. The pub has a good size car park and welcomes car clubs as well as having one of its own should you wish to join. Open from 10.30am for coffee and tea.
