14C, the nearby Palace of Clarendon was once a royal residence. In 1357 after the Battle of Poitiers, King John of France and King David of Scotland were prisoners of Edward III of England. The three monarchs were seen riding side by side in a hunting party in the forest of Clarendon, this is where the pubs name originated from. Lively pub with beams, real fires and featuring live music. Petanque terrain, regular group meeting place.
