This Pub is Permanently Closed
Built in the 18th century, this comfortable village pub/hotel with separate lounge and rear bars, also has a separate restaurant serving international cuisine - fish a speciality (meals served all day). The lounge is 'quiet', with the ticking wall clock the dominant sound in slack periods. The rear bar on the way to the garden is stone-walled and displays pictures of local scenes and posters from the past. The single guest ale appears in summer. This is generally a 'quiet' pub although live entertainment appears at weekends and sometimes during the week.
