A popular traditional village pub, situated in the ancient village of Talaton, which was mentioned in the Doomsday Book. The Talaton Inn is a free house, serving up to three real ales usually from local breweries! Good-value traditional pub food, using local produce where possible, is served lunchtimes and evenings, except Monday and Sunday evening, and Tuesday evening is table bookings only. Set and a la carte menus and Sunday lunches, which are regularly changed, plus daily specials, are on offer. Takeaway food is available, Wednesday to Sunday, including takeaway Sunday lunch. Regular theme nights are hosted. Traditional games are played, such as darts, euchre and skittles. The skittle alley can be used as a function room, available Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. There is a large car park, plenty of outside seating, and a smoking shelter with tables and chairs!
