On the outskirts of the village, the Five Bells is a large and ornately thatched pub that has served Clyst Hydon for over a century. Recently reopened as a community-run pub, it is a genuine free house that supports local brewers and cider makers, as well as offering a welcoming space for locals and visitors alike. Its food offering includes kitchen takeovers and a growing reputation for high qualityy cooking. It has a large garden.
