An Edwardian house built in 1911 it is now a 30 bedroom, 3 star hotel in the Best Western chain but owned by the same family since 1965. It still has its Edwardian character inside and is comfortably furnished in a series of separate rooms. It has a large landscaped garden stepping down a slope above the river with many different seating areas. There is a small welcoming bar area but drinks can be taken to the other rooms. The food has a good reputation. There is a Black Sheep keg line and bottles of Brewdog Punk IPA and Shipyard.
