2025 - ? The pub is mainly accessible from the Whaley Bridge direction by road, One leg of the 60 bus service terminates in Kettleshulme with buses in the New Mills direction only.

Small, idyllic 18th Century inn with timber beams an open log fire in Winter and two outdoor patios for warmer weather. A contemporary 'conservatory' style extension offers an additional dining area with a view into the kitchen. The three ever-changing guest beers are often from local micros. High quality food from an ever-changing menu always featuring a range of speciality fish dishes (booking advisable). Three boutique en-suite bedrooms on offer. The pub is situated in the Peak District National Park and surrounded by some magnificent walking country, families and walkers are welcome.

Reopened 9th December 2019 following closure and repair/ refurbishment resulting from severe flooding in the August.
