First opened in 1876 and very much a traditional pub with a wooden floor (please mind the step), beer mats on the ceiling, and a pub dog. There is a semi-divided room at the front with the bar and a smaller room to the rear with tables and chairs. Sometimes has a cider on for one of the ales which come from all over. Usually has three on at weekends and has some interesting keg offerings such as from local micro-brewery BMAN and a Belgian offering. Has bar snacks and you can bring your own food in with a £1 'Takeaway Toll' charged per person. An excellent garden, sadly closed in winter due to local planning restrictions. Card payments only.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 0 regular beers.
