This Pub is Permanently Closed
An excellent, quiet well-run side-street local. There are two inter-connecting comfortable bars, both lined with wooden curtain-fold panelling and topped with highlighted wave-pattern moulded coving. The decorations include stuffed animal heads as well as a collection of uniform and civilian hats above the bar. An unusual touch is the music provided by an organist on Saturday nights. Note the peculiar "dart" game, totally unfathomable to this guide's surveyors, Friendly service; well worth seeking out. Live music on Friday evenings and Sunday lunch-times
The pub closed c.1998 and was converted to two properties by 2000.
