This Pub is Closed Long Term

Real ale is served in the Dungeon Bar, a rather confined space in the old castle dungeon under the hotel, reached down a steep and narrow staircase from hotel reception. The tiny bar can accommodate only one barperson, but the drinking and seating area is surprisingly large. Interesting décor including old photos and navigation charts reflects the history of the castle and the maritime heritage of the islands. Bar snacks are available, with full meals (evenings only) being taken in one of the two restaurants, upstairs in the castle or in the garden conservatory.. Outside drinking is on the castle battlements. Accommodation is either in the castle or in well-appointed outside rooms ranged round the extensive gardens.
