Historic Interest
The Stanley Arms may have been located elsewhere in Eastham villageas far back as 1822 but in 1840 the farm building at this location was converted to become the Stanley Arms. Listed Bagshaw's Directory of 1850. An Argyle Brewery pub transferred to Birkenhead Brewery in 1866. Mentioned in Philip Sulley's 'The Hundred of Wirral' as one of three pubs in Eastham. Closed and demolished in 1892 and a new pub built in its place.
