Family friendly 16th century smugglers inn perched on the foothills of Eggardon on the outskirts of Askerswell. Well kept real ales all served on gravity and supplied from local and West Country brewers, typically Cerne Abbas, Copper Street and Exmoor. Locally produced cider is on offer. The pub has a snug main bar reminiscent of pubs of old and further rooms for dining. Mind your head when exiting into the large garden with plenty of seating including six covered pods and superb views across the countryside. Hours quoted are summer times and may close early if quiet.
