This pub was opened by Ind Coope as the CHURCHILL in 1961-1962. It has frequent name changes over the years, including LAMPLIGHTERS. It was converted to an 'American diner' style restaurant in April 2016, but has reverted to pub use. Plain modern-style interior. Until about 2018, it had a rear entrance direct on to High Street, but this has since been removed.
