Opened in May 2012 as the Establishment, this is a sympathetically converted courthouse which was the site of Britain's last public hanging, and many of the original features have been retained. In particular, the judge's seat, Crown crest, dock, spectators' gallery and stairs to an underground passage to the exercise yard can all be seen. Some of the prison cells have been converted into dining areas. Recently converted to Slug & Lettuce. Real ale discontinued.
