Small intimate bar in the "micropub" model situated above Trading Places estate agents opening in April 2014.
Climbing the short staircase takes you to an cosy open plan room that could easily by somebody's living room. The bar is in the room to the rear behind the partition wall.
Two cask ales are served on handpump and stillaged under bar. A range of bottled or canned ales are also available at all times, again all from local breweries including at least one from Brightside brewery. Bottled cider from Dunham Press & The Moss Cider Project is stocked.
The Sip Club prides itself on supporting local businesses so almost all cask ales sold are from local breweries such as Brightside, Outstanding, RedWillow (and many more) with local lager (Bury's Outstanding Pilsner or Four) and local cider also sold.
The pub's "Common Room" hosts a wide range of events are held including supper clubs, tasting evenings, book club, speak easy poetry nights, Sip One Purl One knitting & crafts club, quiz nights and more. Check Facebook for details.
Room is also available for meetings and training sessions.
Snacks in the form of locally sourced cheeses and pork pies are served. A Manchester platter consisting a mix of all with chutneys & relish will serve two for £10.
