This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.
Possibly the oldest building in Stretford, the Watch House was originally a farm building. It predates the construction of the Bridgewater Canal, which accounts for the difference in levels between the club and the towpath.
Visitors are welcome, and social membership is available to frequent visitors for just £5 a year.
Overnight moorings, water and Elsan disposal are available for boats.
Opening times may vary from those advertised if members are away at canal boat rallies.
Historic Interest
Thought to be the oldest building in Stretford, having been built before the canal (so before 1765).
