A popular and thriving pub in the heart of the village attracting customers of all ages. It is one of the oldest buildings in the village and was once a butcher's shop, hence the name. A few old meat-hooks can still be seen in the wooden ceiling in the bar. Changes have been made in recent years but have not spoiled the essential character. Standing guard outside is 'Knight and Day', a sculpture from Lincoln's 2017 Knight's Trail.
