A community owned pub in every sense with games days and nights, quizzes in daytime and evenings, food themed nights, as well as open mic once a month. The two guest ales are often Wherry and sometimes Boondoggle and Bass. Originally a thatched pub, named the Sun, the pub was renamed when it was bought by a local Officer following the Battle of Waterloo. The pub is now, in 2025, in its 6th year as community run. It has a cosy, comfortable, lounge and a spacious garden with plenty of outdoor seating. Regular weekly events such as quizzes and open-mic etc.
