Built in 1789 this fine pub has a sitting area at one end complete with a sofa and easy chairs and, at the other end, an attached barn that has been converted into an airy dining area. Both rooms create a relaxed atmosphere with fine oak beams in the barn and a stone flagged floors throughout. The good beer is complemented by excellent food. The changing guest ales usually include a good representation from Cumbrian breweries. NO FOOD UNTIL JULY 2025
