Built and opened in 1861 and situated opposite the Lion Salt Works Museum, the Salt Barge Inn is popular with locals and walkers alike, with log burners and an open fire in Winter. A pictorial history of the Salt Mine is illustrated throughout the ‘top bar’ and coupled with an open fire, makes for a cosy drinking den. Marbury Country Park and the Anderton Boat Lift are nearby and moorings are available on the Trent and Mersey canal, which boasts a direct route to the pub. The pub likes to promote local real ales.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 1 regular beer.
