This Pub is Permanently Closed
This was one of the older pubs in Drymen, with parts of the building dating back to 1758. It was called the Plough Tavern for most of its life, then changed to the Salmon Leap, named after a local landmark on the nearby river Endrick. Although one report says it closed down in 1996, it is more likely to have been circa 2001. A report in March 2003 confirmed it had been demolished. It was located just down from the current village shop.
