Formerly a joiners shop for a local sawmill, it was converted into the Red House tearoom. Then it was a bar & grill, which included the Wayfarers lounge. Later it was just known as the Wayfarers bar & restaurant. In august 2020 it changed again to the But & Ben, a licensed cafe offering coffee, sandwiches, cake etc. But it also has a brunch and lunch menu, and will open on occasional evenings for special events or themed meals.
