This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.
This is the oldest yacht club in England, founded in the 1770s. It has been on this site since 1923 and now occupies the three lower floors of this modern building. Members are generally experienced yachtsmen and women with an interest in the sea and nautical affairs.
The Club aims are to provide its membership with outstanding yacht cruising, racing and social opportunities in the UK and internationally.
The clubhouse contains two bars, reading rooms, a restaurant, and accommodation in "cabins". It also contains an extensive collection of yacht models and the half-model collection is described as one of the most comprehensive in the world.
