Royal Oak, Teddington

There is plenty of seating and also tables set for eating in one large room. The function room and toilets are located downstairs. Outside there is more seating on the terrace. On Monday evenings there is 50% off all food. The original Royal Oak in Teddington was demolished in 2005 and the site redeveloped. Barratt Homes have built seven one and two-bedroom apartments and five 2, 3, & 4 bed houses on the site. A new pub/bar incorporated into the development called The Oak Bar & Grill was opened in autumn 2005 and subsequently called Sammy's Bar & Grill. It then closed and reopened with a new tenant and the original name on the 22nd Sept. 2012. History - There has been a pub on this site for over 300 years. In in 1935 it was demolished and rebuilt approximately 20 metres back from the road because there were plans for a road bridge across the Thames at Teddington. This did not come about, and the pubs relocation had been unnecessary. Now converted to a CÔTE restaurant.
