Traditional pub set back just off the A4, popular with locals and offering a friendly welcome. This is a free house offering two regular beers plus a guest, often from a local brewery. Sports TV is a focus but doesn't dominate. Popular with walkers and cyclists as it offers a starting point for the Berkshire Cycle Way or Knowl Hill Bridleway. A pizza van visits 5-8pm Tuesday evenings. Food available Tuesday to Sunday lunchtimes and Wednesday to Saturday evenings. Bus 127 from Reading (Saturday only) or 239 from Henley / Maidenhead or the 4/4A from Maidenhead.
