An historic country inn, with parts dating back to the 14th Century now run by Butcombe and now completely tied. Fully refurbished in April 2017. A range of rooms cluster around the courtyard, which makes this something of an up-market mohotel. From Feb 2025 the 127 bus runs Mon-Sat between Reading and Maidenhead
