With the picturesque harbour of Portree in the foreground and the view of the bay behind, the Royal Hotel offers a quiet relaxing retreat. A large hotel with two restaurants - one catering for families and parties and a smaller, more intimate one offering seafood as a speciality. MacNab's Inn, part of the main hotel building, offered three beers from the nearby Cuillin brewery at Sligachan on handpull in the past, but this is temporarily suspended probably while the brewery relocates. Keg Isle of Skye from Uig up the road is on offer, in the meantime.
